Ford Alternator in a Range Rover Classic It is a Ford 1995 Mustang GT alternator, with a bracket made from Wrangler NW Power Products of Oregon, and the wiring was a pigtail plug from any local parts store. There was a single plug that I had to get from a specialty company which no one else had, and the pulley had to be switched to a single belt instead of a serpentine. I ran a 4 gauge wire from the alternator straight to the battery (not stopping at the power stud on the fire wall), but left the power stud hooked up through the starter. Then I ran a negative 4 gauge power wire from the stud hole on the back of the Ford alternator to a bolt that holds down the coil. Then it just bolted right in and no problems! Knock on wood! - For more information contact Ryan Wilcox |
